Makeup Geek Eyeshadows! ♡

I purchased 10 of the Makeup Geek Eyeshadows because I have heard so many good things about them and have heard that they may even be better than the MAC eyeshadows! These creamy, buttery eyeshadows are only $5.99 each! Compared to the $26 (au) for a single eyeshadow from MAC in pan form. Don't get me wrong I love the MAC eyeshadows, but if I have a choice to get something for the same quality for cheaper, I'm going to jump at it.

I am going to have to agree with the fact that these eyeshadows are just as amazing as the MAC eyeshadows, if not a bit better! These Makeup Geek Eyeshadows are amazing quality and you get full pigmentation of the product. They are super easy to blend and you can build up or sheer out the colour to how you want it. They are not chalky or chunky they are smooth and buttery in texture.

These are the 10 eyeshadows that I picked up. And I will defiantly be purchasing more in the future.

A Day With The Animals: Part Two

This is my dog Tilda. She is a bit of a dork but I love her!
She is a bit strange. Apparently she needed to stretch a lot today.... or pose for the camera?

And this is Peggy Sue... She only has three legs, she was born that way and doesn't know any different. She is quite a character and begs a lot to try and get food. It is her favourite trick and about her only one.

And finally we have Heidi the Hurricane.. thats what we like to call her.
She is quite crazy... another word for that could probably be energetic in Heidi's case. She is crazy but I do love her just as much.

A Day With The Animals: Part One

Say hello to...... HAZEL GRACE.
Yes that's his name... and yes I said 'his'. Because when we first got him, he looked a lot like a girl and I had just finished reading the book "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green and had also gone and seen the movie with my family.

And this is his brother Tigger... he has a 'normal' name!
However he is far from normal!

Review: Revlon Lipsticks

I am a big fan of the revlon lipsticks!
My first ever lipstick was a revlon. My first lipstick is in the shade 820 pink cognito. I was, I guess what I would call lipstick shy. I wanted a colour that was very similar to my lip colour and I didn't really want to look like I was wearing any lipstick, I just wanted my lip colour to be a little bit nicer. I was quite scared to wear lipstick and I was always worrying about what other people thought. I went for this colour because it is a very neutral nude/pink shade. I have to say that this lipstick has been very well loved.

820 Pink Cognito

I find that the revlon lipsticks are very moisturising and feels light and comfortable to wear on the lips. This is exactly what I wanted when I was looking for a lipstick and had never worn anything more than mascara. I was quite scared of makeup for a while because i never really knew how to apply anything. It really just takes practice, I am no professional but I just try different ways and stick with what works best for me.

My Revlon 820 pink cognito is so well loved I thought I would have gone out and bought another shade sooner, I guess I didn't because I was still quite scared and this was like my "Safe" lipstick. I have become a bit more adventurous with lip colours now and have corals, oranges, dark reds ect. (I have a growing obsession, shhh) I have not bought dark colours in this brand however because I can't resist the pinks. They have a great range in pinks and nude/neutral colours (of course they also have some other great shades but I love my nudes, pinks and corals.)

My other favourite colour in this lipstick is 805 kissable pink. This colour is still quite a neutral pink, but just adds a little bit more colour to the lips. It is a pinker colour and has a little bit of a shimmer to it.

Revlon lipsticks are probably on the higher price range for "drugstore" lipsticks, that being around $21 each (Australian Dollars). If you are looking for a matte shade of lipstick these are defiantly not matte, they are quite shiny (As these are in the 'shine' range). These lipsticks aren't a strong colour, so I tend to go to these lipsticks when I don't want a strong or heavy lipstick.

Because these lipsticks are quite moisturising and creamy I tend to have to put a bit more on to get the desired colour, however this doesn't bother me because they are so comfortable to wear.

Overall I really, really like this lip product from Revlon and I think I will be purchasing a lot more lipsticks from them in the future.
